RAPTOR FOX is a reverse-folding machine for sheets and other large and medium-sized flat linens (table linens, bed linens, hospital linens).

Its sturdy structure and compact, efficient design allow for the folding of all types of flat linens with maximum precision and accuracy, even at high operating speeds.

RAPTOR FOX is available with 2 or 3 longitudinal folds and is designed to perform all counter-folds in-machine, ensuring maximum precision and operating speed. A practical and intuitive control panel (touchscreen) allows for the management of all folding programs and the adjustment of operating parameters. All longitudinal folds are performed using an air jet on counter-rotating rollers. The lateral counter-folds are performed by reversing the belts and blades or using an air jet.

AUTOCENTERING

On the central processing lane of the RAPTOR FOX, the workpiece can be autocentered before the counter-folds are performed. Once the workpiece has come to a stop on the conveyor belt, a detection system (using a photoelectric barrier) manages the transverse centering of the workpiece on the counter-fold axis.

The photoelectric sensors detect the garment’s exact position, determining the initial reference point of the garment’s two edges (right and left). The software identifies the shorter edge, and as the vertical counter-folding blade lowers, pulling the garment downward with it, a counter-roll (right or left), driven by pneumatic cylinders controlled by a PLC, holds the flap identified as the shorter one until the blade’s descent makes that flap the same length as the other, at which point it releases it, thus ensuring perfect alignment during the joining process.
